Certified Associate in Project Management Exam Preparation

Davis and Dean’s pass rate equals 95% if PMI exam is written within six weeks after completing the Certified Associate in Project Management Exam Preparation.

The Certified Associate in Project Management Exam Preparation (CAPM ® Exam Prep) is designed to prepare students to successfully pass the CAPM exam issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI ®).

This course is also designed to satisfy the 24 hours of project management education (PDU ®) required by PMI ® in order to qualify to take the exam. The CAPM ® is an internationally acclaimed professional credential which will open many doors for those who obtain it.

As a proud custodian of project management the PMI has developed a practice standard for the project management professional, and published as the Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge, also referred to as the PMBOK guide.

The PMI’s PMBOK guide has matured over the years and is now available in its 6th edition.

On a broad scale, the CAPM credential holds commercial value for all companies that embrace it, as it embodies and implies a professional attitude towards managing by project.

The use of a common language for the science of project management has always been a challenge for organisations practicing project management. PMI has invested a lot of effort in addressing the common language issue. Learn how PMI ® defines and approaches project management.

The Five Project Management Process Groups

Understand initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing processes within project management.

The Ten Project Management Knowledge Areas

Learn about integration, scope, time, cost, resource, procurement, communications, quality, human resources and stakeholder management.

Inputs, tools, techniques and outputs

Understand how PMI ® defines and relates each of the 47 processes from the knowledge areas to each other.

Test preparation skills

Receive tips, tricks and help on how to apply, prepare for and take the PMP® Exam.

Participants learn PMI ® specific project management skills from certified PMP ® instructors and apply them to a simulated project that allows them to experience each process and knowledge area.
